The "Mists of Avalon", in my opinion, is the best book ever written by human hand. It is the story of King Arthur, told throught the eyes of two women, Morgaine and Gwynhefar. Morgaine is Arthur's half-sister, the High Priestess of Avalon. Gwynhefar is the famous Arthur's queen. I realized there is really now way to write a summary for this story because there are so many characters, substories, and problems in it. mostly the story is of Morgaine trying to prevent Avalon from going into the Mists and later on trying to get Arthur to be true to his oath to Avalon. Gwenwyfar just worsens the matter by controlling Arthur to become a Christian and convincing him to betray his oath to Avalon. I am sorry to announce that our dear beloved author, Miss Marion Zimmer Bradley passed away from a major heart attack in 1999. Her work will stand forevr cherished in our hearts (*sniff sniff*) |
